About the
Developer
Wayne James Francis
Danne Mora is a large development and horse breeding group based in Christchurch with projects also in Auckland and Whangārei. The group, which was created in the 1990’s, is wholly owned by the Estate of Wayne Francis.
Wayne started his working life as a shearer and farmer, but made his name in land development, and as a co-founder of the Nevele R Stud – one of New Zealand’s most influential standardbred breeding farms.
Wayne had a love of horses and under the training banner of Spreydon Lodge that Wayne established in the mid 1980’s has won and continue to win many Group races.
Wayne’s enduring commitment to development, horses and young people saw him establish structures that enabled his vision to continue beyond his life. This is evident in the ongoing developments by Danne Mora Holdings Ltd, Nevele R Stud and the Wayne Francis Charitable Trust.
The land on which The Acres is being developed was where Wayne kept and trained a lot of his horses and is the reason this development is close to our heart.
Wayne’s legacy lives on through the Wayne Francis Charitable Trust, Danne Mora Holdings Limited, Nevele R Stud and Spreydon Lodge.
